The Buy X Get Y module allows you to create flexible promotional offers that automatically apply when customers meet specific conditions. It encourages larger purchases and enhances customer loyalty.
It’s perfect for running special offers, clearing stock, or encouraging bigger orders. Easy to set up and fully automatic – just create the rule, and the discount applies at checkout.
Buy X Get Y BOGO module is an exceptional tool to elevate a store’s special discount strategy. It has 3 tabs: General, Create Rules, and Style.
1. General #
1.1 Enable Buy X Get Y: Toggle this button to activate the module.
1.2 Show Discount Availability Note: You can activate this option to display a discount availability message in the shop, archive, related, upsell, and cross-sell sections
1.3 Show Discount Availability Note in Product details page: Switch on this option to show the discount availability note in the product page.
1.4 Cart Message: Insert a discount message to show in the cart. Use {{bxgy_products}} to show the list of discounted product names.
1.5 Disable Coupons: You will also get the permission to disable coupons for the discounted products.
2. Create Rules #
Now, move to the “Create Rules” button.
2.1 Click on the “Add New” button to make a new rule.
2.2 Discount Title: Insert a discount title according to your choice.
2.3 Offer Type: You can choose the offer type from “BOGO – Buy One Get One | Free Gift” or “Buy X Get Y”.
2.4 Main Products: Select specific products to include in the discount. It qualifies for the free or discount offer.
2.5 Select Discounted Products: Choose the product that is offered for free or at a discount.
2.6 One Gift Product Allowed: Enable this option. Only one gift product can be added to the cart per order, regardless of the quantity of the main product.
Even if multiple eligible products are added, only a single gift item will be included.
2.7 Select User Role: Specify user roles eligible for the discount. You can leave it blank if the discount applies to all users.
2.9 Date Range: Enable this button to activate date range options.
Discount Start Date: Specify the start date and time for the discount.
Discount End Date: Select the end date and time for the discount.
Now, click on the “Save Changes” button to save the updates.
3. Styles #
Now, click on the Styles tab.
3.1 Tooltip Style: Customize the tooltip visuals settings.
Tooltip Badge Text Color: Set the tooltip badge text color.
Tooltip Badge Background: Choose the tooltip badge background color from the color palette.
Tooltip Background: Determine the tooltip background color.
Tooltip Border Color: Fix the tooltip border color.
Tooltip Text Color: Set the tooltip text color according to your preference.
Tooltip Arrow Color (Down Arrow): Determine the tooltip arrow color according to your choice.
Tooltip Product Name Color: Determine the tooltip product name color according to your choice.
Tooltip Product Name Hover Color: Set the tooltip product name hover color.
3.2 Shop/Archive Page:
Font Size: Determine the font size according to your choice.
Color: Set the product showcase color.
Margin: Fix the product showcase margin according to your preference.
3.3 Product Details Page:
Font Size: Edit the font size according to your choice.
Color: Customize the product showcase color.
Margin: Determine the product showcase margin according to your preference.
Buy X Get Y | BOGO on Edit Product Page #
Move to Products → All Products and edit the product you want to add your file upload option. In the Product Add-ons, enable the “Override Global Rules”.
You can disable global rule by switching on this option.
Discount Type: You can choose the offer type from “BOGO” or “Buy X Get Y”.
Discounted Products: Choose the product that is offered for free or at a discount.
One Gift Product Allowed: Enable this option. Only one gift product can be added to the cart per order, regardless of the quantity of the main product.
User Role: Specify user roles eligible for the discount. You can leave it blank if the discount applies to all users.
Enable Date Range: Enable this button to activate date range options.
